Think beautiful terrain, sandy beaches, flowing wine and you’re probably not thinking Ontario at-least definitely not Northern Ontario. But it is true, you can enjoy a beautiful vacation reminiscing times spent in Mallorca with a mere 4 hours drive from Toronto. There is so much to do snorkeling, camping, biking, hiking all the -ings. Frankly, you could spend a whole week away and have things to do. Below is my three day itinerary and other suggestions that you can add to your getaway.

FRIDAY 5:00 PM - Getting There

I am of the notion that the journey is an important part of a trip. I looked for some great spots to stop and decided on Soulyve and Adamo.

1st Stop- Soulyve Restaurant

Dinner stop on the way  Soulyve
Our first stop on our drive to Blue Mountain was Soulyve a Jamaican Restaurant that served up some of the best Jamaican food I have had in Canada.(recently closed)

2nd Stop- Adamo Estates

Adamo Estate is a picturesque winery pouring a wide range of refreshing wines that are true to the terroir of Orangeville

10:00 AM- BLUE MOUNTAIN

The Blue Mountains are the site of an award-winning ski resort that is open year-round. In the summer months those ski hills turn into downhill biking terrains for the daredevils. There is so much to do; guests can experience cool shops and restaurants at the Blue Mountain Village, if you’re an adventure seeker there is zip lining, there is a spa to relax, nature tours by Scenic Caves and live music.

Iwa Spa at The Blue Mountains

While my partner did some downhill biking; i checked out the Iwa spa which has a number of services I did the Ganban Volcanic Rock therapy kookie in theory but an extremely relaxing in experience

5:00 PM - Making our way to Tobermory

We headed to the Big Tub Lighthouse marked by a whitewashed wooden lighthouse constructed in 1885. This area has great swimming spot for swimming and watching the sun rise or set

The town of Tobermory is quaint but definitely packed in the summer months. Don’t leave without checking out the Fish and Chips Place

SUNDAY 8:00 AM- BRUCE PENINSULA PARK

We stayed at a nearby airbnb and got up early to head to the Bruce Peninsula park for 8:30am. If you’re planning on visiting the Bruce Peninsula you will need to prebook your parking/entry time. Visitors are given a time frame to enter and exit the park. We went early and was not disappointed. The park is really a natural beauty. Walking through trails you will find tucked a way beach fronts with no one around, swap lands that look like the setting for an end of time movie and of course the beautiful grotto. I haven’t seen clearer waters a great spot to swim.
